About Me
Natalie Burton
I studied music at the University of Southampton, graduating with a first class honours degree in Music and an MA in Musicology (with distinction). Having principally taught music in a range of academic settings for the past eighteen years, I now enjoy something of a 'portfolio' career. In addition to my private teaching practice, I am also closely involved with music at Bournemouth University, where I teach the clarinet and accompany the Choral Society. I am an active composer, producing music in a range of styles. Finally, I am an Open University PhD candidate combining my interests in music and literature in research on the twentieth-century, English song cycle repertory. My studies are generously supported by CHASE.
